Project Description:

We built this beautiful Trex deck in North Pole, AK for a customer that called us about their old deck which had deck boards and handrails that were completely rotten and the deck had become entirely unsafe and unusable. They were thrilled with the new deck and will enjoy a maintenance free deck for many, many years.

Deck Details:

• Deck Footings: 2-3/8″ Metal Helical Supports (These provide an extremely stable support for the deck that will not move with the freeze/thaw cycles of our soil). I always have them installed by the guys over at TMP Alaska (click here for a link). They are great to work with and do a fantastic job.
• Deck Frame: 2″ x 10″ Pressure Treated Lumber
• Main Decking: Trex Select (Pebble Grey) was used for the main decking
• Border Decking: Trex Select (Madeira Red) was used for the border “accent” color. I always like to use an accent color for the border to make it stand out. I usually like to tie the accent color into the house color, if possible.
• Railing: Trex Transcend Railing (White) with a Trex cocktail rail and Aluminum Balusters (Black)
